Celebrating Pride Month
Every year, June is celebrated as Pride Month — celebrating the vital role of the LGBTQIA+ community’s contributions to history, culture, and society.
We’re honoring and celebrating various Creators and community fundraisers, their fundraising efforts, activism, and community building during Pride Month. We are also sharing a select list of charities and organizations that use Tiltify to support, bring awareness to issues and elevate LGBTQIA+ communities.
The Charities:
LGBTQ Freedom Fund
The LGBTQ Freedom Fund posts bail to secure the safety and liberty of people in jail and immigration detention, with a focus on LGBTQ individuals.
In tandem, we work with the public and policymakers to curb the mass detention of LGBTQ individuals. Sexual minorities are three times more likely to be incarcerated than heterosexual individuals.
Because of whom they love, a tangle of discrimination and poverty disproportionately traps LGBTQ people in cycles of crime and incarceration.
The Trevor Project
The Trevor Project is the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) young people. We work to save young lives by providing support through free and confidential suicide prevention and crisis intervention programs on platforms where young people spend their time: a 24/7 phone lifeline, chat, text, and through Trevorspace. We also provide public education, engage in advocacy efforts, and develop research.
LGBT Life Center
LGBT Life Center is located in Hampton Roads Virginia and has served the community for over 31 years.
The Mission Statement is: LGBT Life Center is a trusted leader that empowers the LGBTQ communities and all people affected by HIV through improving health and wellness, strengthening families and communities and providing transformative education and advocacy.
It Gets Better Project
The It Gets Better Project is a nonprofit organization with a mission to uplift, empower, and connect LGBTQ+ youth around the globe. Growing up isn’t easy, especially when you’re trying to affirm and assert your sexual orientation and/or gender identity. It can be a challenging and isolating process — but, the good news is, no one has to do it alone.
GLAAD
GLAAD rewrites the script for LGBTQ acceptance. As a dynamic media force, GLAAD tackles tough issues to shape the narrative and provoke dialogue that leads to cultural change. GLAAD protects all that has been accomplished and creates a world where everyone can live the life they love.
Lincoln Pride
Lincoln Pride raises awareness of LGBTQ issues by staging events, putting on an annual Pride each year and providing support to other LGBTQ charities and voluntary organizations throughout the year.
Qweerty Gamers
Qweerty Gamers is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides LGBTQIA+ resources, support, and networking access to advance visibility and representation in the global gaming and media industry.
Envisioning a future where the content in gaming and media is representative of marginalized audiences.
Mermaids
Mermaids has been supporting transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse children, young people, and their families since 1995. Their goal is to create a world where gender-diverse children and young people can be themselves and thrive. Mermaids promotes education and awareness and offers information, support, friendship, and shared experiences to those in need.

We’re celebrating #PrideMonth by highlighting @jupieverse_, a voice actor and content creator on Twitch! She is proud of her Latina heritage, and loves bringing her experience into her content. She is a member of @CafeCultivar, and prides her community on being a safe space for new members to join. She’s also no stranger to cosplay, although it is hard to choose our favorite! Jupie has fundraised for Starlight Children’s Foundation, The American Heart Association, and more! Thank you Jupie for being such a joy.
